Lower Coast OCS Offshore Sand Source Survey

The goal of the project was to assist in a multi-agency response to categorizing sediment resources offshore for development of policies and inventories for coastal restoration, with the purpose of better maintaining ports and navigation channels (dredging), determining appropriate sediment disposal sites, and determining the location of sediment deposits for their restoration efforts aimed to mitigate for the beach erosion caused by storms and currents.
