Community Resilience Center

Community Resilience Center

Welcome to the Community Resilience Center at The Water Institute!

The Center works with communities to move beyond the assessment and study of risk towards the exploration, co-development, and implementation of community-focused strategies to increase resilience at every level: individual, household, neighborhood, city, state, and even nationally.

What’s new with the CRC and its partners?

  • The Community Resilience Catalyst (Catalyst) rapidly deploys support for addressing community resilience in often overlooked communities in coastal Louisiana. Learn more here.
  • The Community Resilience Center is now featured in the Registry of Adaptation Practitioners, an online, searchable directory of vetted organizations offering climate adaptation and resilience services.

The Registry connects communities with qualified support and helps users identify practitioners whose expertise aligns with their needs.

As a practitioner, the CRC brings its focus on community-led climate resilience support for small to midsize Gulf communities, with services including inclusive adaptation planning and meaningful engagement strategy. Check out our profile to see all of our offerings.
