Water Institute joins partners in celebrating the launch of State Resilience Partnership

BATON ROUGE, La. (May 13, 2021) – The Water Institute of the Gulf is proud to be a founding member of a new State Resilience Partnership launched today by American Flood Coalition and The Pew Charitable Trusts.

The Water Institute joins fellow partners in this collaborative effort including: The Alliance for National & Community Resilience, Center for Disaster Philanthropy, Coastal States Organization, Enterprise Community Partners, International Code Council, Iowa Flood Center, SBP, The Nature Conservancy, Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law and Policy, Urban Institute, Urban Land Institute, and Virginia Coastal Policy Center.

The State Resilience Partnership will provide research and best practices related to key topics, expertise across a range of sectors, and opportunities for knowledge sharing between states.

“The Water Institute is honored to join this group of valued collaborators working to develop forward-looking strategies to address our most pressing coastal challenges,” said Justin R. Ehrenwerth, Water Institute president and CEO. “By working together, we can share insights and experiences from around the country to support resiliency solutions based on the best available science.”
