2017 Coastal Master Plan

A suite of individual modeling tools was developed for use in the 2012 Coastal Master Plan. The models were used to estimate the individual and cumulative effects of hundreds of projects on the landscape and ecosystem and the level of impact and risk to communities. The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) of Louisiana wishes to utilize modeling tools to support the 2017 Coastal Master Plan, building upon existing technical efforts where possible. CPRA tasked The Water Institute of the Gulf with coordinating the technical tasks and experts needed to refine existing modeling tools and develop new tools for use in the 2017 Coastal Master Plan.
