Marion “Lizzy” Vise, Communications Intern at The Water Institute, is a master's student in Environmental Science at Louisiana State University. She is expected to graduate in December 2025, completing a thesis that assesses the environmental impact of various orphaned wells in coastal Louisiana. Lizzy’s wide-ranging experience encompasses scientific research, laboratory work, professional editing, sales, and scientific communication.

In her role at the Institute, Lizzy writes for the weekly and monthly internal newsletters, reviews various communication products, produces graphics for different needs, and assists with website management. Her coastal research background enhances her ability to translate complex scientific topics into understandable communication materials for the general public.
