Brooke Mehney, Planning Associate Planning Associate and Future Coastal Leader Fellow, brings her architecture and design background to The Water Institute team to help implement and visualize resilience planning and community engagement.
During her time as a graduate research fellow in architecture at Tulane University, Brooke became engaged in resiliency planning and design as research in the Gulf Coast. Prior to Tulane, Brooke attended Ferris State University, where she completed a degree in Architecture & Sustainability and worked as an Architectural Intern at DriscoN Consulting LLC. There, Brooke applied her technical knowledge to detail design-build projects.
Brooke is interested in engaging the built environment at a broader scale, and she now applies her architectural technical experience to approach applied planning with a multidisciplinary method. Brooke’s interests include community engagement, resilience planning, spatial research visualization, graphic representation and alternative land ownership models.
