BATON ROUGE, La. (May 1, 2023) – For the first time, The Water Institute will be participating in Give NOLA Day and 225 Gives, online giving events for local nonprofits, to support our new CORE (Community Resilience and Equity) Impact Fund.
The CORE Impact Fund will allow The Water Institute to proactively respond to the science, planning, and implementation needs of low income, rural, minority, and underserved populations. While we are proud of the work that we do with partners who have the resources to support our work, we cannot ignore communities that have the same needs but fewer resources.
A donation to The Water Institute, regardless of the size, will help support vulnerable and under resourced communities in Louisiana, those communities most at risk from changing environmental conditions. Your gift will help our non-profit bring critical science, planning, and engineering to support these vulnerable and in need communities. It will also support our efforts to move beyond planning and into taking innovative and meaningful action for residents and communities.
