BATON ROUGE, La. (Feb. 14, 2022) – A new video story from Working Nation, "I want that job!: Geoscientist," features geoscientists and supporting team members from The Water Institute and APTIM talking about what their job entails and what the work means for themselves and their communities.
The video features interviews with Mike Miner, Director of Applied Geosciences, and Maricel Beltrán-Burgos, Research Associate, talking about some of the challenges their work addresses and why they love the work they do.
"To grow up on an island like Puerto Rico, you grow up aware of all the coastal issues that communities face and that prepares you to come to a place like New Orleans and do the job that we are doing here at the Institute," Beltrán-Burgos said.
