INVESTING IN THE FUTURE OF COASTAL SCIENCE AND OUR COMMUNITIES

In order to advance coastal science, strengthen partnerships, and better support vulnerable and underserved communities, The Water Institute is launching a fundraising campaign to develop the CORE (Community Resilience and Equity) Impact Fund.

The CORE Impact Fund will support the work of our scientists, engineers, and planners to develop tools and actionable research to support Louisiana’s efforts in coastal restoration, protection, and community resilience.

We appreciate your investment to help make this work a reality

To build the CORE Impact Fund, The Water Institute is seeking the support of individuals, companies, and foundations to allow us to go beyond the fee-for-service model in order to meet the scientific, resilience, and planning needs of our communities.

Our commitment to collaborative efforts that advance coastal science, research, and application means that any tools developed from the CORE Impact Fund will be made freely available to any group or entity. This open source approach means that others could build upon or apply this work.

The Water Institute will actively engage new partners in the private, academic, and nonprofit sectors as well as local, grassroots organizations to ensure that more voices are elevated on matters crucial to the future of coastal communities.

INITIATIVES THAT WILL BE SUPPORTED BY THE CORE IMPACT FUND

We cannot and must not do this alone.
