As a low-lying deltaic area, Louisiana’s coast is among the most vulnerable regions in the world to climate change. This project synthesizes the current knowledge of the effects of climate change on coastal vegetation, including sea-level rise, temperature increases, and changes in rainfall patterns. Several specific questions are being examined through data synthesis, field and laboratory research, and preliminary modeling.
