This project examines historical change as well as current natural variation in the abundance and distribution of native resident and estuarine-dependent fisheries species. The aim is to better understand fisheries’ resilience to short- or long-term perturbations in coastal conditions. Existing data on fisheries' response to diversions is being studied to ensure this research embraces a broad range of conditions and/or project effects. This project is geared toward providing reasonable expectations of the future dynamics of key species.
