In Case You Missed It: Water Institute Director Meselhe Interviewed with the Weather Channel’s Weather Underground Program

Jan 12, 2016 — Baton Rouge, La. — Ehab Meselhe, Ph.D., P.E., Director of Natural Systems Modeling and Monitoring, recently interviewed with the Weather Channel's Weather Underground program to discuss current events related to the Mississippi River and opening of the Bonnet Carre Spillway.

In the Interview, Dr. Meselhe provided technical knowledge of the Spillway and its role in diverting a portion of floodwater from the Mississippi River to Lake Pontchatrain, and essentially to the Gulf of Mexico, to help protect New Orleans and downstream communities from the rising waters.
